Jan, Mac, Greg & Expedition Staff
We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are really enjoying our log home and want to thank you for all the time and effort you put into our house to make it a success. The wedding of our daughters were great. This house was great for the reception. I hope you or your staff can visit us some time.
This house is great for living, relaxing and entertaining.

Thank you Expedition Log Homes,
As our Log Home is coming together we are very pleased with pretty much everything. Our subcontractors and visitors have also been very complimentary about our project, both the outside and inside. It is both a very beautiful work of art and a very well built structure that should last for generations of our family.
The things we were not pleased with were a few issues with a couple of our subcontractors, but Expedition was not one of our problems. In fact, Expedition did a lot of super things to help this project evolve into such a success.
We spent the better part of two years working with Nate on designs and redesigns. There were no complaints about my continuous requests, rather Nate listened and understood what we were looking for and then added complementary features that we didn't think of. Some of the best features of the home came from Nate.
Expedition also was excellent as a supplier. The logs are very well done, thank you Mac, and material deliveries were complete and timely, thank you Jan. Contracting with Expedition was an example of textbook project management. Everything was clearly planned, documented, and delivered through the entire project.
We have NO regrets with choosing Expedition Log Homes as our supplier.

Wow, the last 12 months have flown by! What a great experience this has been – and still is. We love our home and feel extremely fortunate that we found Darrell and Expedition to make this dream a reality.
We are still settling in and yes, landscaping is a top priority now. Jimmy just borrowed Darrell’s skid-steer over Memorial Day weekend and we got a lot accomplished but I think this will take the rest of the summer to complete. Jimmy is also doing a fantastic job of finishing off the basement in his spare time which there is never enough of. We do find time to relax on the front porch and watch the sunset over the cows grazing in the pasture across the road. Life is good!
When we get a few more projects completed I’ll send some pictures.
We hope that all is well with you and your family. Hope that business is good too. Have a great summer and give our regards to Nate and the rest of the crew!

Dear Greg & Nate:
Well it is finally feeling like Home!! Rory and I wanted to let you see how our new home turned out and thank you for all your help and cooperation in making our dream log home a reality.
We started moving in the middle of October and we were totally moved by November 1st. We have moved some things around inside since, but for the most part, I think we have the house set up the way we like it. The basement needs to be finished yet, but that is a project Rory and I plan on doing ourselves. I am so happy with the layout of our home. I would not change a thing if I had to do it over again.
I have to tell you, Bart, who was the main person to work with the logs, said that the logs for our home were the best he had ever worked with. He built a few homes with logs from WLH and TLH, but felt that our logs were of the best quality. Our contractor also mentioned that he felt the materials you supplied us with were of excellent quality. Thank You!
I have sent a few pictures along, so you can see a little what the final product looks like. Please share them with Steve and Jody. They were also very kind and helpful during our building process.
We have had a number of people stop by that would like to know more about the company that we contracted through. Would you please send us some business cards and brochures that we could give interested parties? I have been giving them the web site address and told them that is how I found you.
Again, Thank You for your professionalism and quality of material you supplied us with during our building process. You were always very helpful when I called and never made me feel as if I was a bother.
Please stop by this summer, after we have done a little landscaping, and take a peek at the house for yourself.

Smart buying of a log home can take a lot of leg and investigative work to help insure that a buyer makes the best choice for value, quality, and energy efficiency.
I have been in my home six years. Now that my log home purchasing and building experience is at an end, I would like to compliment the Expedition team.
During the purchasing and building process, the Expedition staff was there to help and solve problems that arose. And every one of those problems was solved to my satisfaction, which is extraordinary in the building profession.
Being a conventional stick built home with Tyvek, heavy insulation and real half log siding, no one has yet suspected that my home is not a true log home. And, the home is very efficient. This is not the case with other log homes I have been in.
Thanks to you for all of your help!
One very satisfied customer,
I want you to know that it has been a pleasure working with your and also Jessica. Our home is looking good and I expect to be in by the end of August. You can be sure that I will recommend your company in future whenever possible. Please feel free to use me as a reference for any future customer who may need one.
We feel compelled to write this letter to tell you about our experience with Expedition Log Homes. We were in the market for a log home about a year ago after finding the lot of our dreams. We originally met with a regional log home company and were very frustrated by our experience. Our general contractor recommended Expedition to us. From the very start, they were professional, courteous, prompt and responsive. They were extraordinarily helpful from the design process until the completion of our house. Our general contractor worked wonderfully with the Expedition staff to make sure things flowed smoothly. The sawyer from Expedition came out to the site multiple times and aided in insuring that things were progressing accordingly.
Lastly, the price was within our budget. The schedule went according to plan, on time, without delays and actually under budget. I can’t say enough about all of the people who assisted us from the people who greeted us at the door and over the phone to the president of the company, it truly is a first rate organization. I am trying to get my brother to use Expedition for a home he is considering. Thanks for reading this.

We love our beautiful home you helped create. Whenever someone new to the house comes in, they walk about in awe and enjoy it as we do. Thank you for everything.

Thank you so much for thinking of us and using our home for a magazine shoot. That was such a fun day. Thanks for the great lunch. I’m still ordering & buying enchilada soup.
Even though our home is only 1889 square feet, you made us feel like millionaires. We’ve always enjoyed our building home adventures with you and will always love to be included helping other new home buyers getting to know cabin log and telling them what we think about the wonderful way your customers are treated.
Your friends always

In the fall of 2013 we decided it was time to start thinking of our future retirement home. We knew we wanted a split log home so started the search for a log company. We spent hours researching the many companies out there but after talking with Greg Grimes at Expedition we decided this was the company we wanted to work with. A trip to their facility in Wisconsin solidified that thought when we saw the beautifully crafted logs they produced.
Greg spent well over a year helping put together the perfect home for us. All of the people we worked with at Expedition were extremely patient with us as we tweeked the details to make our home exactly as we had dreamed. We have now begun the process of moving in on a permanent basis.
The reason we decided to go with a split log home was we loved the solid feel of them. We wanted one that felt like a full log home without the issues of full log (this is our fourth log home - one full log and the others split log). This one has that and more with it's huge interior and exterior logs. Even though we have already received over a foot of snow the house feels cozy warm being kept at 68 degrees. It's also very quiet inside keeping the wind and weather outside.
We went with flat logs in the interior and have received a lot of compliments on them. They are beautiful! It will be much easier hanging pictures on the walls with these logs. The whole house feels very warm and comforting - we couldn't have asked for more.
Thanks to Expedition the process of building became a journey we thoroughly enjoyed!
